First Friday Favorites {April 2017}

It’s sure been a while since I’ve done one a First Friday Favorites. It’s not because I’ve been having a lack of finding awesome things but because I’ve had a lack of time to share them with you guys. I have a running list of things I’ve been meaning to talk about but they never could make it off that list, until now.

1 // What Do You Meme // If you’re into memes [guilty] than you need this game. It’s quite possibly one of the funniest things I’ve played in a while and totally rivals Cards Against Humanity. While it’s pretty close to the same concept, the cards are possibly even funnier and more screwed up.

2 // Apple TV // We just cut the cord [look for post on our experience soon] and couldn’t be happier with the Apple TV.

3 // Wine Aerator // If you’re a wine drinker and you haven’t been using an aerator, seriously, get one now. We just recently got one and started using it and the difference is astounding. I thought it was all hype until I did a little taste test with and without aeration. Profound difference.

4 // Ever Lasting Treat Ball // I always have such an issue with dog toys because I have strong chewers. They destroy everything. Dog toys aren’t cheap and I was sick of spending a decent amount of money on something that would last them 30 minutes. This treat ball keeps them busy and they really can’t destroy it.

5 // Bio Silk Hair Serum // I recently went seriously blonde and with bleach usually comes some damage. A co-worker of mine recommended this product in which I totally forgot existed. I used it years and years ago but i’m so glad I re-discovered it. It totally tames my frizz and smells unbelievable.

First Friday Favorites {July 2016}

June found a way of sucking all my spare time away from me. Between a couple of weekend trips and some TV shows that came back on the air; I have some valid excuses of where my time has gone. That being said, in my “time away”, I did find some awesome things to share with you guys.

1 // Leuchttrum 1917 Notebooks // Now, I’m a huge Erin Condren fan and everyone who knows me knows this about me. I also am now learning a little bit about bullet journaling and experimenting with it. I’m loving the creations I’m coming up with and I’m putting them all in the Leuchttrum. If you want to give bullet journaling a try, I highly suggest picking up one of these bad boys.

2 // St. Tropez Foaming Tanner // I used to be as pale as a ghost. I am one of those lucky people who goes outside, burns, and then it doesn’t turn into a tan. Well I finally found a self tanning solution that doesn’t leave me orange, streaky, or horrible smelly. It still does have a smell but it’s not nearly as bad as some of the others I’ve tried. Oh, and make sure you use the mitt that you can buy with it. It’s important.

3 // Tombow Brush Pens // These are my favorite brush pens I’ve tried so far for all the lettering I’ve been doing in my bullet journaling adventures. I don’t even come close to saying that I’m good at “lettering” but these pens make my life a little easier when it comes to learning.

4 // Crayola Giant Chalk // A friend got my daughter these for her second birthday and they’re by far my favorite chalk for toddlers. They’re HUGE so they don’t slip out of their hands and they don’t just shatter into a million small pieces when they drop them.

5 // Disneys Tsum Tsum // I’m sure this stupid game has been around for a long time but it’s new to me and it’s been sucking up way too much of my time. If you like matching games and cute little characters, then don’t download it. Trust me.

6 // Orange is The New Black // This is the real reason I haven’t had any free time. Thanks Netflix.

First Friday Favorites {May 2016}

I completely forgot to do a post for April. Okay, I’m lying. I didn’t forget. I was just too busy in my own little world and frankly way too lazy to sit down and actually do one. It happens.

1 // Kenneth Cole Reaction Floral Print Dome Satchel // I’ve been looking for a cute purse that was a little on the bigger side for a while now. I almost splurged on a Kate Spade I’ve been eyeing for a while but decided to check out Ross first. I found this and fell in love with it. I paid $30 for it. Win.

2// Smashbox Primer Oil // I highly suggest this to anyone who has semi-oily skin and wants an amazing moisturized look under their makeup. I’ve been using this for several months now after getting it in an Ipsy bag and just purchased the full size bottle. I’m in love with it. My skin has never felt better. It’s a little pricey at $42 a bottle but I swear it’s going to last me at least a year.

3// Babyganics Shampoo & Body Wash // Bathtime around here can be quite the circus so I love being able to use a shampoo and body wash in one. I’ve finally found one that smells amazing and works in Aria’s long hair.

4// Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children // This book is supposed to be for young adults but that doesn’t ever stop me. Seriously, read it. It’s amazing.

5// Erin Condren Notebooks // So, I’m sure you’ve heard about me talk about all my Erin Condren supplies like a million times. They’ve been featured more than once in my favorite posts. Well, most of my extra spending money went to them yet again this past month because they released a bunch of amazing new notebooks. There are tons of gorgeous floral prints that I can’t get enough of.

First Friday Favorites {March 2016}

This edition of First Friday Favorites is all things HOME! Over the past few months we’ve been updating a lot of our furniture and finding our own little style. We’ve collected a lot of things over our marriage from family, friends, and just random finds. We decided it was time for everything to match and flow. Here’s a few of the things we came up with.

1 // Medallion Venice 5 Piece Quilt // My husband and I can’t usually agree on bedding but we finally found something that we both love. First off, it’s gorgeous but it’s also super comfortable. We don’t like big heavy comforters so a quilt is the perfect thing for us.

2 // Juararo Bed Set // While I loved our old bed, it just wasn’t practical anymore. The kids started literally unscrewing it and taking it apart so It was time to get something they couldn’t destroy. We also got the matching dressers and nightstands. I think this is the first time in my life my entire bedroom set has matched!  My OCD couldn’t be more excited about that.

3 // Casted Metal Tray // This piece probably seems like the most simple thing but it’s gorgeous on the coffee table. I’m one of those people who likes everything to have it’s place and I wanted all of our remotes to have their spot. Now they do.

4 // Natural Vase Filler // This little accent adds so much to the living room! It’s a simple yet stylish change that I adore.

5 // Anaheim Lagoon Sofa & Loveseat // This couch is so unbelievably comfortable. It reclines and the loveseat has little cupholders! We’re going from a pretty bland sofa to this bright blue so I’m excited for the change in the room. We wanted to brighten things up and this was the perfect way to do so.

… and this beauty is our new [old] coffee table. I snagged it off of one of our local yard sale sites. Someone had recently brought it back to life and I couldn’t be more in love with it.

It’s been a good month of updating the house and I’m so excited to see it all come together. Now, I’m on the lookout for some amazing coasters.

First Friday Favorites {February 2016}

The past month was a big month for some organizing. I’m always dying to organize things, create new storage places, and make myself new creative spaces. Last month I did a few of these things which is where a couple of my favorite items comes into play. The other few are just like every other month; random things that I fell in love with.

1 // Adina Writing Desk // I have a decent sized desk upstairs in the spare bedroom. I never ended up using it and now my husband is going to be taking over that space in the spring when he starts school. I decided that I needed a little space in our bedroom that didn’t take me away from the family too much when I needed to get some work done, but still let me have my own productive area. Thats where this desk comes into play. It’s small enough where it doesn’t look obnoxious in my bedroom but super sleek and stylish.

2 // Kipling 100 Pen Case // I know. It’s a case that holds pen; not super exciting unless you’re me. I needed something to hold all of my pens that I use for planning that would keep the kids out and let me take them with me if I so choose. These cases are ridiculously expensive if you think about it… but not if you go to Marshall’s and find one. Snagged one for $9.99!

3 // Elephant Pants // Hippie look meets save the elephants. Enough said. This company is right up my alley.

4 // Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara // I’d been needing a new mascara for a while and stumbled upon this one in an Ipsy box a little while ago. I made the plunge and am obsessed with it. It’s not clumpy, comes right off when I want it too, and stays on when I need it too.

5 // Ikee Design Acrylic Cosmetic Storage // Here I go again with my organization. I was sick of all my makeup being in a drawer and unable to find anything. I got this little gem for my counter top and am loving the ease of finding everything. It doesn’t hold tons but I don’t use a lot of a daily basis. Everything is within reach and it looks great on the counter.

First Friday Favorites {January 2016}

1 // Doc McStuffins Take Care of Me Lamb // My daughter who is a year and a half got this for Christmas and it is a huge hit. She’s constantly carrying it around and actually using the accessories it came with! I highly recommend it for any child that loves to “play doctor.”

2 // AE Jeggings in Black // I was getting a little tired of leggings. I know, I know. I just wanted something just as comfortable but something that had pockets! I found exactly what I was looking for.

3 // Oil Diffusing Necklace // My husband got me an adorable essential oil diffusing necklace for Christmas. I love it but it was just too heavy around my neck. This one is nice and lightweight but still gets the job done. I wanted to be able to carry a little “stress reliever” with me at all times, and now I can.

4 // Prismacolor Colored Pencils // I have jumped on the bandwagon into the adult world of coloring. I’ve been doing it for a few months now and decided that it was time to get myself a good set of colored pencils. I never knew how expensive they can get but this set isn’t too bad and works fantastically.

5 // Erin Condren Floral Planner Cover // It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with my planner and covers. I just got this cover and I’m in love. I have a feeling this one might stick around for a while. It’s even more gorgeous in person, if that’s possible.

First Friday Favorites {September 2015}

September Friday Favs

1 // Mossimo Palazzo Pants // I picked up these bad boys a few weeks back at Target for 50% off because of a Cartwheel offer I had. I’m in love with them. They’re super stylish, comfortable, and affordable. Just don’t put them in the drier. They will shrink up.

2 // Erin Condren Life Planner // I know a few weeks back I posted about my newest hobby which is decorating my planner. Well, I decided to go ahead and purchase a new one because my blog planning was taking over my life planning. I know, super obsessive of me, but I fell in love with it all over again.

3 // Papermate Liquid Flair Pens // If you’re a pen snob like me, buy these.

4 // AKC Round Dog Bed // Dogs need some love too. Our dog beds were looking pretty rough so we decided to upgrade. By upgrade, I mean spend less for a better product. Win!

5 // American Girl Bitty Baby // I know Aria is only a little over a year old. They don’t recommend these until the child is at least 3. You know what? Who cares. I’m obsessing over how cute they are and I’m adding it to her Santa list. She loves carrying around her babies so I think it’s perfect.

acute care

6 // Rodan and Fields Acute Care // This is one of my favorite new beauty products. I have some smile lines that I’m not exactly fond of and this product has completely changed the way I look at my skin. Think painless Botox while you sleep for less money than one set of injections. *Note, I do not sell this. I’m just a happy customer.

First Friday Favorites {August 2015}

Happy Friday and happy first Friday of the month! I can’t believe it’s already August. This summer has been flying by as it usually does. This past month was a big month for me in my discovery of new things. I have picked up a new hobby {planner decoration} and finally saved up enough to purchase my new MacBook! With these new hobbies and purchases come fun finds to go along with them. Enjoy! I know I have been.

August Favorites

1. Adorable Essentials Ruffles // I’m obsessed with both the pants and the shorts for my daughter. They’re adorable, well made, very well priced, and even have free shipping! With back to school shopping here these are absolutely perfect to send your little lady to school in style.

2. End Mend Spritz // My hair gets damaged so quickly from things like heat styling, sun exposure, and throwing it up in a bun all the time. This stuff is amazing. My hair feels 100x more healthy, soft, and is shinier than I’ve seen it in a long time.

3. Pentel Energel Pens // I am a self admitted pen snob. I literally get frustrated and can’t write when I have a horrible pen. These are going along with my new hobby of “planner decoration” and are amazing. They come in every color under the sun and write so gorgeous.

4. MacBook Cover // With my new Macbook had to come a new cover. I want to keep it as new and as nice for as long as possible. I purchased this one from Amazon and wasn’t expecting too much since it was so cheap. I’m beyond pleasantly surprised with how durable it is! It snaps right on and is a great soft plastic.

5. Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll Coffee // I don’t know where this has been my entire life. I’m not a huge fan of K-Cups just because of how expensive and wasteful they really are; but holy crap. This coffee is beyond amazing.

6. Fit Bit Bands // I am an avid wearer of my FitBit and was getting really sick of the ugly plain black bands. I needed something somewhat fashionable if I was going to be wearing it all the time. I found these gems and finally feel like I have something cute on my wrist.

First Friday Favorites {July 2015}

June was without a doubt a month where I spoiled the kids and my husband a little bit more than myself. Hey, it happens. I’m totally okay with that. Extra money wasn’t exactly flowing so I couldn’t really splurge too much. Again, it happens.

With that being said, I still found some fantastic things. Mainly on Amazon which is my go to for pretty much everything. I have probably mentioned my addition to the one click shopping in the past and this month was no different. Without further a due, my June finds:

1 // Little Tikes Red Cape Cottage House // I couldn’t help myself with this purchase. It’s so adorable and both of my kids love it. It’s amazing to see their little imaginations run off with something as simple as a plastic house. Oh, to be a child again.

2 // Baby Gate with Pet Door // I can’t tell you how thankful I was to find this and get it in the mail. My year old daughter has a crazy fascination with the cat food and the cat litter box. If she’s out of your eye for 2 seconds you can almost guarantee she’s into the laundry room where those things are kept. Not anymore Aria, we win.

3 // Meet Matt(e) Pallet // I am absolutely in love with The Balm. Everything that I’ve tried from them has been amazing but my favorite so far is this eyeshadow pallet. I’m not huge into sparkle when it comes to eyeshadow. I like a mixture of bold and subtle looks. This is everything all in one. It’s also not one of those pallets where you use one or two of the colors; I use every single one of them.

4 // The Yeti Cup // It’s hot out and I want a cold drink all the time. This cup is exactly what I needed for the summer. I left ice cubes in it at work. I came back two days later and there was still ice in it. It’s a little pricey for a cup but if you’re like me and can’t stand room temperature beverages; you need it.

5 // Island Surf Company Men’s Slip On // My husband was in dire need of a shoe that he could just slip into to run outside. He had been using his dress shoes because they were easy to get on and I had to put an end to that. Problem solved. They’re light weight, attractive, and machine washable!

First Friday Favorites {June 2015}

Welcome to the latest edition of First Friday Favorites. If you’ve been following along, you know this will be the third month that I’ve done this. It’s giving me a reason to shop, ha. I now get to use shopping as an excuse to have more fun things to share on my first Friday favorites. Sound legit? I thought so.

1. Sosie // this is without a doubt one of my new favorite online stores. I stumbled upon it thanks to my Pinterest addiction. I found a cute top that I pinned, clicked through, and then discovered the amazing-ness that I can’t help but love. I ordered 7 items from them and absolutely adore every single one of them. They’re extremely reasonable in price but don’t lack at all in quality.

2. Aerie Bridget Bow Bikini // May brought Georgia the hot weather which meant I needed to find a new bathing suit. I wasn’t really excited about any of them at Target which is my usual go too. I needed something with a little more structure now that the girls aren’t looking so great after two babies. This top is amazing and gives just a little bit of lift so I don’t end up looking like a porn star.

3. Bed Head After Party // The hot weather also decided to bring out the frizz in my hair this last month. Seriously, it was disgusting. I needed something to help tame the mop, keep the fly-a ways at bay, and give me more control. I finally found something that not only smells amazing but works too.

4. V-Tech 3 in 1 Learning Walker // Aria got this as a birthday gift and she’s pretty much obsessed with it. Actually, my 2.5 year old son won’t let her play with it most of the time because he loves it too! The walker turns into a high chair, a bed, and a stroller for the baby doll (included.) It makes an absolutely fabulous first birthday, or second, or third gift!
